Kehwa (also spelled Qehwa) is the quintessential Kashmiri hospitality beverage, served in a traditional copper samovar (pateeli) for centuries in the royal courts and homes of Kashmir. Our blend follows the traditional recipe with fine Kashmiri green tea leaves as the base, infused with the warmth of cardamom, the sweetness of cinnamon, and the exotic luxury of saffron.
Bring 2 cups of water to a gentle boil. Add 1.5 teaspoons of ZAFYRA Kehwa blend and let simmer for 3-4 minutes. Add 4-5 saffron threads and stir gently. Strain into a beautiful cup and sweeten with honey to taste. Garnish with a few blanched almond slivers. Enjoy as a morning ritual, after meals, or as an evening relaxation drink.
